Leadership Program 

The Leadership Training Program for Russian Jews originated in New York in 1997 by the American Jewish Committee and a group of Russian Jewish enthusiasts. Since its inception, about 200 people have graduated from the Leadership Program. All graduates are active members of the Russian Jewish community, and many hold both professional and lay leadership positions. 2006 National Conference of Russian-American Jewish Lay Leadership

After returning from a weekend charged with ideas, opinions, and enthusiasm, we would like to thank all of our participants for making the First National Conference of Russian Lay Leadership, "From Immigration and Resettlement to Integration and Engagement" a huge success. Though they all traveled to Washington DC from different states, countries and continents, with different ideas and backgrounds, a single goal united them: to unify and strengthen the Russian-speaking Jewish community. Their shared experience of immigration, their innate love for Jews and Israel, and their common Russian Jewish identity brought a tremendous warmth and excitement to the conference.  More
